Giclee prints are ink jet digital prints less expensive than original watercolors.

Plein air watercolors are watercolors painted outside "in the open air," where colors, light and shadow are alive and changing. I paint outside in the open spaces of the Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu, and in sites on the coastal shoreline.

Giclee prints are digitalized prints of a photographed or scanned art work in the digital era. They are not just copies of original art work, but the digital recreation of a new piece of art work from the original. Editions are numbered, titled, and signed, and when framed are displayed so that the edges of the paper are shown. Giclees are printed on watercolor paper, as the original plein air watercolors are painted on.
